My Philosophy
“I believe that even our most problematic symptoms are the psyche’s way of seeking balance. Sometimes, we can name our troubles. Often, however, we are confused or confounded by feelings that arise, or by disruptive patterns that seem impossible to change.
As we are better able to make sense of our challenges, mourn our losses, and appreciate the ways we have managed to cope, even the most devastating circumstances can serve to empower us. We may move ahead with greater ease and a more fulfilling connection to the world around us. As a therapist, it is my commitment to facilitate this undertaking for you within a safe, caring, and highly respectful environment. I recognize you as the authority of your experience; my expertise is in the process of transformation. Together I am confident we can make rewarding progress toward your goals.” |
