I am a licensed clinical social worker and board certified psychoanalyst working with adolescents and adults in the Union Square neighborhood of New York City, where I have maintained a practice since 2002, and additionally, New Haven, CT. While skilled to address a broad range of problems and concerns, special areas of concentration are trauma, anxiety, transitions, the creative process, and personal empowerment.
In addition to my clinical practice in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, I've published academic papers on self psychology and creativity, and frequently write and speak on topics related to sexual violence, personal growth, and creativity. My professional experience also includes crisis intervention for victims of interpersonal violence and sexual assault, work with homebound elderly and others suffering in the aftermath of 9/11, and counseling for families of at-risk teens. I continue to serve as a referral resource for area rape crisis centers as well as art schools and arts organizations.
