I am a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with more than 25 years of experience working with individuals and couples seeking depth, meaning, and lasting change.
I trained at the New York Institute for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology and practiced for two decades in New York City before relocating to the Connecticut shoreline. I maintain offices in Guilford, CT and the Grand Central area of Manhattan, and work online throughout the US.
I believe in a therapeutic process that serves and enriches the present. Sometimes this means attending to what is beneath the surface—what we feel in the body, what lives in the unconscious, or how our earliest relationships still shape us.
In addition to my clinical practice, I teach, supervise, write and present on topics at the intersection of psychoanalysis, spirituality, and human transformation. My personal writing includes an award-winning memoir and a second memoir currently in progress. I also serve as an associate editor for the journal Psychoanalysis, Self, and Context.
If you sense that real change isn't linear, that it involves not just thinking and doing, but feeling, intuiting, and being; if you're looking for durable transformation rather than a quick fix, we might just be a good fit.
